Kavanagh Engineering has decades of experience in serving the retail sector in terms of electrical engineering and maintenance requirements, shop fit-outs, and property maintenance.
Through our work with supermarkets in particular, we became aware of the extent of the problem of push-out shopping trolley thefts, and how they cost millions in takings around Ireland each year. We resolved to find a solution to the problem.
That led to us first becoming sole Irish agents for the supply and installation of the world-leading Gatekeeper and Purchek shopping trolley anti-theft systems, which originated in North America and which have proven to be among the most effective push-out theft prevention measures available.
We have since expanded to also offer anti-theft systems by both Carttronics and Rocateq, which operate on the same principle as Gatekeeper/Purchek, but which have other features too which may make them more suitable for your application. When we first conduct a site audit ahead of designing a system, we will advise on which would suit your location best.
We have already installed shopping trolley anit-theft systems at stores across Ireland and Northern Ireland for leading supermarket chains including Lidl, Aldi, Dunnes Stores, Tesco, SuperValu, and Asda.
We are available to also install the system in other branches of those chains, in independent retailers, and indeed in any location where shopping trolley theft and push-out thefts are a problem.
